Debashis Das Serves as International Jury Member for Global Motion Graphics Contest 2025
In a proud moment for Bangladesh’s creative industry, renowned motion graphics designer and digital branding expert Debashis Das has served as an international jury member at the Global Motion Graphics Contest 2025, hosted by Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. The competition, themed “For a Better, Greener Earth,” brought together talented participants from Bangladesh and four other countries to promote environmental awareness through the power of motion design.
Organized by the Film and Television Department of Pathshala, an institution affiliated with the University of Dhaka, the contest aimed to spotlight creativity with purpose. The works submitted reflected themes of sustainability, climate action, and eco-conscious storytelling. Given Debashis Das’s vast experience in motion graphics, program branding, and visual storytelling—as well as his national and international accolades—he was selected as one of the leading figures on the jury panel. His fellow jurors included Sk Monoar Nahid and Mohammad Zakaria, both respected names in the field of media and communication.
Debashis Das’s inclusion as a judge marked a new milestone in his already illustrious career. His role was not just ceremonial. The prize distribution and certificate ceremony took place on July 5, 2025, at DrikPath Bhaban, located at 16 Shukrabad, Panthapath, Dhaka. The winners—Md. Sadikur Rahman (First Prize), Mahbuba (Second Prize), and Shanku Dutta (Third Prize)—were honored for their creative interpretations of the environmental theme. KHM Harun, Principal of Pathshala, handed over the awards and also presented Debashis Das with a commemorative crest, acknowledging his contribution as a judge.
The formal letter of recognition from Pathshala praised Debashis for his “outstanding contributions to the graphic design and digital branding industry at both national and international levels, creative leadership, and active engagement in education.” It further stated that his involvement enriched the competition with higher professional standards, inspiration, and global relevance.
Debashis Das’s appointment as an international jury member is not an isolated event—it is part of a broader pattern of recognition that he has earned through years of dedication. In recent years, he has received multiple prestigious honors including the South Asia Star Award, Star Bangladesh Award, Bongo Gourab Samman (International), and the Excellence in Success Award. Currently serving as Deputy Manager of Graphics at Maasranga Television, Debashis is widely known for redefining program branding in Bangladeshi broadcast media.
In parallel with his professional work, Debashis has built a reputation as a passionate educator and mentor. As a faculty member at Pathshala and a guest lecturer at Dhaka University, he has helped nurture a generation of creative professionals. His teaching goes beyond software—focusing on visual psychology, brand storytelling, and the power of thoughtful design.
His participation in the Global Motion Graphics Contest 2025 further reflects his commitment to nurturing talent and using creativity for meaningful causes.
