Jacob & Co redesigns their Epic X
Jacob & Co high quality watches replica has released the all-new Epic X, redesigned to make the original sports line even sleeker and more streamlined.
This model, from 2015, was probably the first sports watch in the Jacob & Co collection and was often adorned with diamonds and precious stones. Founder Jacob Arabo worked as a diamond merchant in New York before becoming passionate about watches. The Epic X line comes in many versions, from time-only versions, like this new one, to those with a chronograph and tourbillon. We covered the original Epic X Chrono Carbon Bugatti in considerable detail in this 2019 hands-on review.
The facelift for 2022 can be seen as a minor facelift, updating the lineup with subtle shape changes. The new product is launched in three versions - stainless steel case with blue aluminum parts with steel bracelet or black rubber strap, rose gold case with green aluminum parts with rose gold bracelet or black rubber strap, and black DLC Case with black detail rubber strap. Like most other Jacob & Co cheap replica watches, gem-set versions are also available. Although describing the changes makes them seem significant, the actual modifications are subtle enough that most people will need to think carefully before they can recognize the new model.

The case is available in stainless steel (available in gold and DLC titanium) and is one of the few Jacob & Co watches made of metal, keeping the diameter at 44mm. The case retains the iconic X-shaped lugs, which now look chunkier as the recessed sections have now been removed. Crown guards are also new. They also now have more bulk and appear more "powerful".

The movement is a new JCAM45 movement, replacing the JCAM02 used in the original Epix X, which Jacob & Co claims is a complete redesign of the movement.
This watch looks quite stunning and has a high sense of presence. As always, Jacob & Co watches are not for those looking for an understated look. The use of color makes a bold statement. And the presence of the wrist is very strong. The steel version is now the entry-level product in the Jacob & Co. world.
Launched to the public during the Geneva Days of Watches 2022, the new Epic X continues Jacob & Co's original collection of dashing, openworked, sporty styles. The redesigned Epic X is a sleek, streamlined version of this groundbreaking timepiece. Details abound, and Jacob & Co. have subtly altered shapes, surfaces, lines to make the Epic X completely contemporary. It is also one of the few Jacob & Co. replica watches for sale made of steel.
The first collection of the new Epic X flaunts its bold 44mm stainless steel case, 5 links, new stainless steel bracelet, X-shaped lugs and a vertically aligned skeletonized movement with de Paris bridges. A full rose gold version was also released. They showed off a new set of crown guards, a new lug design, and introduced aluminum parts in green, blue, or black for endless possibilities.
The second-generation Epic X, launching in spring 2022, has a big shoe to fill. Launched back in 2015, the original Epic X collection made Jacob & Co. the full-fledged watchmaking brand it is today. After the iconic, famous five-time zone watch left its mark throughout the ages and was worn by countless celebrities for years, Jacob & Co. turned to a more horologically oriented timepiece.
A complete masterpiece of watchmaking, the Epic X leads the trend that defines the sporty Haute Horlogerie skeleton watch as the hero of the 2020s. It later became the blueprint for the Epic X Chrono and Epix X Tourbillon swiss made replica watches.
The case measures 44mm in diameter and 13.05mm thick. The bracelet has a new design, derived from the unique angles and curves of the case. Each of the 5-link rows is a polished and chamfered three-dimensional sculpture with a half-octagonal profile and curved base. This and a careful study of the articulation create an ideal fit on the wrist. Plus, the Epic X is still available with its signature cellular rubber strap.
What's more, the original Epic X gave way to a series of changes, both in design and mechanical movement. The way the Epic X is constructed allows for countless interpretations of materials, colors and stone settings.
Jacob & Co. released three versions to prove its versatility: steel case with blue aluminum parts and steel bracelet or black rubber strap, rose gold case with green aluminum parts and rose gold bracelet or black Rubber strap, and black DLC case with black details on the rubber strap.
narrative structure
At launch, the Epic X was also a uniquely designed piece. This is one of those rare examples of an actual symbiosis of the inside and outside of a watch. The X numbers that give the series its name are located on a pair of its lugs. They are interconnected by vertical bridges of openwork movement, creating a continuous shape throughout the composition.https://www.proreviewwatch.co
All these unique characteristics have been preserved and enhanced in the new series. The most obvious update to the design is the new shape of the case. The once stepped bezel is now smooth and polished with steeper angles. The X-shaped lugs are now full and flush, starting slightly above the sapphire crystal. Their ends are more angular and vertical for a better fit on the strap.
design language
The second most recognizable change is the case band, which extends well beyond the case circle to form a set of crown guards. Between them, the redesigned crown showcases two tiers of notched steel tips. Its foundations introduce a new design principle: the Epic X now features multiple colorful components made of aluminum. Jacob & Co. chose vivid blue, vibrant green, and black DLC steel Epic X in black.
These colors are applied to the flanges, which also come with a redesigned font. to the satin edges of the two vertical bridges, the body of the X. Even more concealed is their underside, which is only visible through the sapphire caseback, outside the maze of JCAM45 caliber components.replica HYT
gorgeous wording
The Caliber JCAM45 is an integral part of the Epic X identity. It cannot properly be called a skeleton movement as it is not derived from an existing caliber but only for skeletonisation. It's designed that way. Therefore, it benefits from a free graph structure. The wide barrel at 12 o'clock and the balance wheel at 6 o'clock define the vertical nature of the movement. It is further enhanced by vertical bridges running along them. They used to feature the printed brand signature, which has since been moved to the 12 o'clock position.
They are also hollowed out, and may still be in the future. But for now, they'll be using one of the Epic X's signature finishes. Clou de Paris (or Paris studs) guilloche is a carved pattern made from a square base pyramid with polished sides. A classic watchmaking motif, it brings texture and a unique light reflection to the equation. Half dial, half movement, these structures are faithful to the original intention of Epic X to blur the boundaries between inside and outside.
mechanical grammar
The Caliber JCAM45 is more than just a work of symmetrical and vertical design. It is also a very well made timepiece. The 5.9 mm thick movement is extremely skeletonized, a feature that is concealed by fully vertical bridges. It features a high-end balance wheel with adjustment screws that sits almost flush with the dial.
The remaining black-plated surfaces of the skeletonized motherboard are pearled (circular grained), sandblasted, and vertically grained. A look at the back of the movement reveals the characteristic 'octopus' hairspring, a delicate assembly with three extremely thin and elegantly curved blades. It acts as a pawl spring and a setting lever spring. The level of detail in its design and finishing is a testament to the essence of Epic X haute horlogerie.Jacob & Co. Epic X Chrono
